Get to Know Our New Project Manager
Creative MMS takes pride in its culture and how we provide digital solutions for clients. Our team is passionate about working hard, with a strong commitment to delivering results. Part of that strength is our team. Each team member plays an intricate part in the success of day to day operations by offering their own professional skill sets.
With that said, we would like to introduce our newest team member: Megan Langdon. As a new Digital Project Manager for Creative MMS, she will be contributing her fine-tuned and organized work ethics to help keep our projects moving forward smoothly.
We caught up to Megan the other day to learn a little more about our new teammate.
Digital Project Management
How did you land at CreativeMMS?
I was looking for a new job in the Philly, but I did not want just any company. I was looking for a company where I can feel at home, create friendships with my coworkers and grow as a business woman: That is a direct quote from my second email ever to Ben, after our first phone call. It sounds cheesy, but when Ben and I met for coffee, and I met some of the team at COHO, I knew I wanted to be part of the team. It just felt right, it was a gut instinct.
I was actually in Philly that day for an interview with Fame House, and I remember leaving the interview with Ben thinking “I don’t even want to go to this interview with Fame House, I want Ben to hire me now” From there, I was persistence and stayed in contact with Ben, emailing him once a week. I knew he wanted to wait until the new space and the time was right, so I declined 2 job offers and waited for the timing to be right. Well worth the wait!
What about being a project manager appeals most to you?
Probably the interaction with clients, and getting to work with a team of all different personalities. It is never a dull day in the life of PM. Plus, there is something satisfying about making timelines. Total nerd status, I know.
What do you struggle with most?
Accepting the fact that I can’t make the client happy at all times, and sometimes you have to be the bad guy delivering bad news. But that is just part of business.
What’s your proudest project moment?
This could be 2 things. 1. When I got the typical “never smiles, always serious and moody” client to laugh and smile during a meeting. It was the first time in a year and half working with the client that he showed such joy, so that was pretty great. 2. In general, when you have a client thank you and truly get so excited about the work being completed, that’s an awesome feeling. Who wouldn’t want to bring happiness to someone?
What gets you excited about coming to work?
All the candy and snacks. Just kidding. What gets me excited about coming to work is knowing I get to be around such fun, intelligent people. If you don’t like who you work with, then work will never be viewed as fun.
Learned anything new coming on board here?
I have learned many things, such as different software that are used and the way the project process operates. It is always interesting to see how someone else manages projects, and learn from their ways.
Anything else you’d like to share?
Ummm, I am not sure. If you need any fun facts: I am the youngest of 5, I wanted to be a chef, but chose to keep it a hobby, I was on a billboard and in a fishing magazine, and my future goals are to travel the world, and own like 6 dogs.
